Nik founded Pure Portfolios with a vision to create a lower-cost alternative to the traditional financial advisory model. He believes people should have access to credentialed, professional advisors without paying excessive fees. Nik shares his passion for financial markets, behavioral finance, and financial literacy through his weekly blog, Blind Spots podcast, and explainer videos. Nik has been quoted in Investor’s Business Daily, Citywire Magazine, Portland Business Journal, WSJ, Investment News, ETF.com, and Financial Advisor Magazine.
Nik has a Bachelor of Arts. in Finance from Washington State University and earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. Nik has served as an adjunct finance professor at Washington State University Vancouver campus.
He enjoys golfing, coaching, reading, and spending time with his wife, three children, and the family Lhasa Apso, Bush.
