It seems like yesterday that we left the corporate suits behind to launch Pure Portfolios. We are forever grateful to the clients that took the leap of faith on our journey to create a new wealth management experience. Without your trust and partnership, Pure Portfolios would not exist. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you.
Looking back at the last three and a half years, we have grown to just shy of $100 million in assets. We continue to invest in technology to improve the client experience beyond traditional portfolio management. This includes estate planning resources, tax-efficient investing software, and financial planning tools. We built a social impact investing platform to help clients express their values with their investment capital.
Our resolve for helping people make better financial decisions is as strong as ever. We continue to write our original weekly blog. We hope to launch the Pure Academy which would include video and webinars to help educate our client & partner network on financial topics. We aim to produce a free e-book with our core set of investing and planning beliefs. People over profits will continue to drive the spirit of Pure Portfolios.
We never want to sacrifice client outcomes, portfolio management, and service for the sake of growth. Therefore, we will be adding additional resources in 2020. The skill-set of those joining Pure Portfolios will exponentially grow our human capital.
People ask us all the time what our future goals are for Pure Portfolios. That’s a fair question, but we don’t really look at it that way. We are hyper-focused on daily behaviors that drive better client outcomes. Client education, improving our investment process, identifying & eliminating human biases, more effective communication, and exploring new ways to add value to our clients’ lives are what’s important now. We believe the right behaviors, day in and day out, can produce wonderful results.
It motivates us that perpetual bad actors i.e. brokers, big banks, non-fiduciaries, insurance companies, manage trillions in client assets. There is a misconception that “all advisors are the same,” and we’re looking to change that narrative. We are confident that investor capital will flow to where it’s treated best, but it will take time. We view Pure Portfolios as a hybrid between a low cost provider (think Vanguard) and full service advisor. Our ethos is to keep innovating and improving our platform to stay ahead of the curve.
We are appreciative and grateful for our clients and what we’ve built, but we will not rest. We truly believe the best is yet to come.
Wishing you and yours a full and prosperous 2020!
Nik & David
